As this person is asking basically when your baby starts solids around 6 months old, how much less milk should they be drinking? So I kind of want to outline what that looks like. It's really important to know for all parents that from zero all the way till their first birthday at 12 months old, breast milk, formula, combination of both, that is going to be their primary number one priority of nutrition. Right, so that's where they're going to get most of their nutrition from the time they're born all the way to their first birthday. And then basically we are adding in food around the six months mark when baby is showing signs of readiness.

   Now babies are going to be spitting out a lot of their food unless you're spoon-feeding your baby, which isn't necessary. During those first couple months, babies are not going to be consuming a lot of solids, but they are learning. They're getting introduced to a wide variety of textures and all that's positive. So at six months we're serving one meal per day and then by nine months old, we are moving up to three meals per day.
