   Layers are the key to perfect curls, but I feel like there's really not a lot of good layering videos out there, so this is my attempt at making it. Before I even get into this video, I'm gonna let y'all know right now, I got my undergrad from YouTube University, and I went and got my technical degree from TikTok Technical College. I am not a hair stylist, I'm just a girl who knows how to take what she's got to get what she wants, okay, so follow me.

   Instructions for Use

   We're gonna do the face framing layers which you saw me do, then I take a piece of hair like kind of like that crown portion of the hair, and I cut it all one length. It could be choppy, you don't have to be perfect, 'cause you could straighten it out. That's where wherever you want your layers to really start, these are like them deep layers that we always see on social media that nobody wanna tell us how to do. Well I kind of figured it out. So once I have that I use that as a guide and I section the hair out and I start cutting diagonally from there, so that's where you see me going down and snipping the scissors doing those short little snips and gliding my hand down the shaft of the hair.

   Instructions for Use

   Now you see me putting clips, I keep going around the perimeter of the hair and I just do these little sections and I clip it up, so I could just basically see what I'm working with. This is where the fact that I don't really know what I'm doing comes into play, because I be going over these sections over and over and over again, like I don't do all in one go at all, until the hair starts taking shape. I don't like to start off real crazy cutting off a whole bunch of hair. I like to do it gradually, so I can feel better about myself, because I don't want to chop and screw the hair and then now I'm looking crazy and like a Cynthia doll.

   So I basically just keep going throughout the layers and throughout the little sections that I made, until it has that nice flow and progression to it. And here you guys could see I didn't chop off too much hair, but I was still able to get some beautiful layers, and that set me up for the best curls ever.
